McClintock fears new jobs go to aliens

ELK GROVE, Calif. /*Elk Grove Congressman Tom McClintock*/ says some of that money could be used to pay illegal immigrants working on stimulus-funded projects.

McClintock says they'll be able to get jobs because E-Verify, a government program that checks workers' citizenship status, is no longer in use.

"Part of the economic recovery act basically eliminates requirements for e-verify to be used so yes you're going to have a lot of Illegal aliens hired through the so called stimulus bill," McClintock said.

He says the economic recovery act is supposed to add 3.5 million jobs to our economy nationwide. He says the jobs were supposed to go to American workers, but now he's finding out they'll go to Americans or illegal immigrants or anybody else.
