Fewer buses in O.C. after funding loss

SANTA ANA, Calif. The Orange County Transportation Authority was told this week that its bus service will have to be cut by another 55,000 hours in June, a result of losing state transit funding.

That brings to 135,000 the number of hours slashed since Orange County transit started reducing bus service in December.

The OCTA will get some federal stimulus funds though, to replace or repair buses.
