Asteroid whizzes past earth Wednesday

PASADENA, Calif. The space rock, dubbed "2009 FH," measured 43 feet by 95 feet. It was spotted Monday night at a /*NASA*/-funded lab in Arizona.

Scientists say there was never any danger of impact. In fact, they say, asteroids of similar size come this close to Earth every few months. There was an even closer call last month, when a larger asteroid came within 41,000 miles of our planet.
