Missing San Bernardino teen found safe

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. Police were still searching for the teen on Wednesday morning when there was word that the girl had been found.

She is currently being questioned by the San Bernardino Police Department.

Norma Barragan was with a relative who had an appointment at a medical clinic across the street from the Denny's on the 700 block of East Highland on Tuesday. She went to Denny's to pick up breakfast at about 9 a.m., and her family never saw her again, launching a missing child search.

Police went on patrols and had dogs out until Barragan contacted police using a call box in the Waterman Canyon area. She was reportedly emotional and had scratches on her face, which she may have gotten from walking around in the wilderness.

Police said the teen was a runaway.
