Woman found floating in O.C. harbor

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. Police received a call about an injured person at about 2 a.m. from someone inside a bar on the 16000 block of Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach.

When authorities arrived, they found a pool of blood and a trail leading across Pacific Coast Highway to Huntington Harbor, where the body of a woman in her 40s was found near the dock. That woman has been identified as 45-year-old Anna Krivenkoff. She was found with a head wound.

"We're not sure what happened. All we know is something started here at the bar. We're not sure if this is a crime scene or an accident at this point," said Lt. Russell Reinhart from the /*Huntington Beach Police Department*/.

Reinhart said police are treating the incident as a crime scene for now.

/*Turks*/ is a popular bar for locals, and on a Wednesday night, residents say they usually know everyone there.

"It's one of our hangouts, you know. We're in here every day at one point or another just seeing the bartenders, we know everyone that works here, we know all the owners. We love the place," said Greg Dejong, Huntington Beach resident. "We just really hope it's not a local."

Police have not received any reports of a missing person, and how this woman died is still a mystery.
