Woman sitting in car shot in Pomona

POMONA, Calif. Police said when officers arrived on West Texas Street near North Avenue, a neighbor was trying to help the victim at about 9:45 p.m.

There were reportedly at least seven bullet casings in the home's driveway.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was rushed to County-USC Medical Center in critical condition. Her condition is unknown.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation, but police said it may have been gang-related.
