LAX flight diverted due to turbulence

LOS ANGELES, Calif. Flight 2446 left /*LAX*/ with 40 passengers on board at 5:45 p.m. When the turbulence hit, the pilot diverted to /*Sacramento International Airport*/, landing there just after 7 p.m.

Six people, including a flight attendant, were treated for minor injuries at the airport; none required hospitalization.

When the flight attendant declined to continue on to Reno, the flight remained grounded. Horizon then diverted a Seattle-to-Reno flight to Sacramento to pick up the stranded passengers. They arrived in Reno around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
