O.C. man killed after being hit by car

SANTA ANA, Calif. Police said a 43-year-old man was hit while crossing the 3500 block of West First Street, near Harbor Boulevard, on Saturday at about 9:45 p.m.

The impact threw the man onto the sidewalk, killing him.

Witnesses said they saw a small, dark vehicle leaving the scene.
