Tree-planters needed in NoHo

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. The center is turning a condemned site into a green space for kids with special needs, dubbed Dubnoff Gardens.

Volunteers should bring gloves and a shovel if they have one.

They'll be planting 25 trees, laying sod, installing a sprinkler system, benches and even signage.

The /*Dubnoff Center for Child Development*/ helps children with developmental, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges. It specializes in providing integrated educational, clinical and vocational services, so that children and their families can lead more productive lives.

The event gets under way Saturday April 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The center is located at 10526 Dubnoff Center Way, just past Victory and Cahuenga, in North Hollywood.
