Risk of depression from job stress?

null Canadian researchers studied more than 4,800 people who had reported their job strain status.

Among workers with consistently high job strain, 8 percent had an episode of major depression during the study period.

For people whose jobs got less stressful, the risk of major depression dropped to 4.4 percent.

The study is in the May 1 issue of the /*American Journal of Epidemiology*/.
