Man dead after West Hollywood shooting

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. Paramedics were sent to the 9000 block of Phyllis Avenue about 9 a.m.

Sheriff's Lt. David Coleman said the 60-year-old man waited for his 57-year-old estranged wife in an underground parking structure, shot her and then turned the gun on himself.

Coleman said the pair had been involved in a bitter divorce, which was on the verge of becoming final.

The woman was reportedly in stable condition and was expected to survive.

The man's name had not been released as of late afternoon.
