The world's oldest dog is celebrating her 21st birthday. That makes Chanel, a Daschund rescue dog, 120 in human years.Chanel celebrated her birthday Wednesday decked out in a sweater and red goggles. Chanel is healthy, but has cataracts and wears the goggles to protect her eyes from the sun.

The birthday bash included a cake and a trip to a posh dog spa. Chanel's owner, Denise Shaughnessy from Long Island, New Jersey, rescued Chanel from an animal shelter when she was just six weeks old.

So, what's the secret to Chanel's longevity? Shaughnessy says she treats her pooch like a human and rewards her with special dog treats every day.

In her younger days, Chanel would run three miles a day with her owner. She still enjoys a walk, but now Shaughnessy carries Chanel for most of it.
