Gunman sought in car-to-car shooting

LOS ANGELES Police say the 34-year-old victim was driving in the 2600 block of Cimarron Street near West Adams Boulevard about 7:30 p.m. when the suspect pulled up alongside his car and opened fire, fatally wounding him.

The wounded victim drove about a block before he crashed into some parked cars. He died at the hospital.

The motive for the shooting is unclear. Investigators do not know if the attack is gang related.
