Suspect at large after Jiffy Lube takeover

WESTMINSTER, Calif. The armed suspect reportedly took over the business along Springdale and Westminster, tying up four employees.

Employees told investigators the suspect walked into the /*Jiffy Lube*/ asking to apply for a job. He then showed them a gun and attempted to rob them.

When officers arrived, a manager believed he had locked the suspect in the building.

A /*SWAT*/ team was called and local streets were shut down for hours while they cleared the building.

Officers did not find the suspect in the building and he is still at large.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who is 5 feet 7 inches tall, 270 pounds and was last seen wearing black slacks and a dress shirt.

No one was hurt in the incident and it is unknown whether or not the suspect made off with any money.

As of 12 p.m., the gunman was believed to be locked up inside the business alone.
