Space station visible over O.C.

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. Those who have seen the /*space station*/ flyover before say it resembles a shiny sphere moving slowly across the night sky.

The first flyover on Thursday is at 8:18 p.m. for about three minutes. The second opportunity is at 9:52 p.m. and will be brief, lasting only a minute. Look above the west-northwest horizon.

On Friday at 8:44 p.m., the station can be seen above the northwest for about three minutes.

While it appears to be moving slowly, the space station zips through space at 17,000 miles per hour, according to /*NASA*/. It orbits Earth once every 90 minutes.
