Police found the body sitting on the sofa inside the home. They believe he died between two or four months ago.
A woman in her 70s, believed to be his wife, was in the home, but police said she appeared to be suffering from advanced dementia. She was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
