CARROLTON, Ga. The construction company responsible says it was an "accident.'' They say they had the paperwork to destroy three homes in Carroll County, Georgia this week. When the owner of the three bedroom house, Al Byrd, asked to see the address on the paperwork, the company showed him /*GPS*/ coordinates. It turned out the house they were supposed to demolish was across the street.
The owner says his father built the house, and that he had lived there all his life.
Company officials apologized. However, the construction company has not said how it intends to compensate Byrd.
