Rowdy Lakers fans storm East L.A. streets

EAST LOS ANGELES Excited from the Lakers' 99-91 victory in overtime over the Magic in Orlando, rowdy fans swarmed vehicles driving through Whittier and Atlantic boulevards and rocked them side to side. Video from Air7 HD captured images of the fans rocking one SUV vigorously.

L.A. County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area and blocked off streets in an effort to clear the crowds and keep the peace.

Some rocks and bottlers were reportedly thrown at the deputies.

The crowds began clearing shortly after 11 p.m.

No injuries were reported and no one was arrested.

The excitement was palpable in sports bars throughout the city where the game filled large TV screens. After the Lakers sealed their victory, die-hard Lakers fan Danny Fierro said: "Right now my heart is pounding!" "We had to get this win, we had to, Lakes made me proud today."

"I'm so excited," said Lakers fan Michelle Veals. "My favorite guy Derek Fisher was key in the win so I'm really happy about that. It was very tense but I knew they would pull it off."

The Lakers now lead three games to one in the best-of-seven series. The Lakers are now poised to win the championship in Game 5, to be played Sunday in Orlando. If the Lakers come out victorious, it will be the team's 15th championship.
