"I was not prepared to see a woodland creature in the interview room," said Mackey. "I just kept right on talking to her and listening to her. I didn't acknowledge it at all. I really didn't know what to say."
Mackey says the squirrel seemed happy where it was. The woman is not expected to testify. She and her furry friend are free to stay at home.
