Hiker falls to death near Altadena

ALTADENA, Calif. The man, whose identity has not been released and was described only as being in his early 20s, was hiking with a 17-year-old friend along a popular trail in /*Eaton Canyon*/.

It is not clear what caused him to fall. But when firefighters were called to the area around 10 a.m., they found the man's body near a waterfall. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The teenager hiking with him was not injured.
