Realtor found murdered in foreclosed home

WESTCHESTER, Calif. Another agent showing prospective buyers a foreclosed home discovered the body on the 8900 block of Kittyhawk Avenue on Saturday night.

His body was found on the living room floor, and it's believed it had been there since last Tuesday.

Family members identified the victim as 45-year-old Ricardo Contreras.

They said Contreras had been a real estate agent for 25 years.

It's believed that he was stabbed to death, but police have not confirmed that information.

Family members said Contreras had an appointment to show a foreclosed home to prospective buyers on Tuesday, but he never returned home that night.

"You're going out showing houses, and working, trying to make a living, especially in this economy, and somehow this can happen to you?" said Oscar Mireles, the victim's nephew.

Neighbors said his white Toyota had been seen parked outside the home for several days.

Anyone with information is urged to call the LAPD at (877) LAPD-24-7.
