Fortune cookie forecasts SuperLotto win

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. The unidentified winner bought the lotto ticket at a Chevron gas station at 2395 Erringer Road in Simi Valley.

According to officials at the California Lottery, the man originally asked for two $10 tickets – one for himself and one for his dad. However, the clerk mistakenly gave him one $2 ticket. When he corrected her she asked him if he'd like to cancel the transaction and start over, but instead he chose to keep the $2 ticket and buy another $8 ticket for himself. The first line of the $8 ticket contained the lucky numbers.

The next day the man was eating lunch but had yet to check the previous night's winning numbers. After finishing his meal he ate a fortune cookie that included the prediction: "you will enjoy a luxurious lifestyle." It was then that he decided to check his tickets and soon started "shaking with excitement" when he realized he had won $10 million.

The lucky winner says he plans to keep his job to stay busy, but will also use his newfound wealth to travel the world.
