The victim is 37 years old, and not a Fontana resident. She was killed behind the beauty shop, near the store's back door.
Police say the victim's husband is considered the suspect. He allegedly chased after her and then killed her with a machete.
The suspect fled the scene on foot. Police finally caught him on Taylor Street in Fontana, a short time later.
Police believe the suspect tried to ingest something in an attempt to take his own life. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he is under arrest.
Authorities say the victim had a restraining order issued against her husband. The couple had been in court over it this week
