Cool Kid dreams of becoming a doctor

WESTMINSTER, Calif. "I talked to the doctors and I talked to the volunteers that we're training the other students, and I just saw the people and they're my people and I'm helping them, so it makes a big difference," said Nathali.

Nathali feels strongly about their well being, and it's obvious how everyone feels about her.

"Nathali is very, very caring. All the patients love her," said Lisa Safaeinili, executive director of the /*Westminster Free Clinic*/. "She will help in any way we ask her and she's just very enthusiastic, very high energy and always wants to do what's best for the patient."

Nathali's aiming for a career as a doctor, and she already enjoys analyzing problems to help others feel better.

"Put it through your head, put it to work and come out with a solution to make you feel better. It's just something about that that makes me want to do it even more," said Nathali.

Week after week for three years, and Nathali still feels as if her days at the clinic cannot come soon enough.

"It's not a job for me, it's not a volunteer. It's not like, 'It's Wednesday, I have to go volunteer.' It's like, 'Finally, it's Wednesday, I get to go see my patients and help them out,'" said Nathali.

She's making good health a priority for the people of her neighborhood now, and she's planning to give much more for years to come.
