Man killed on North Hollywood street

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. Keri Lee Sullivan looks at the blood-soaked sidewalk where a man was shot and killed right in front of her home. She heard what sounded like two rounds of fireworks around 11 p.m., then she and her brother walked outside where she saw a man lying still.

"I walked over, and he was unconscious. It look like somebody beat him up a little bit. He had a black eye, he was bleeding from his arm," she said.

A few minutes later, Sullivan said the victim's nephew came by and tried to resuscitate him, but the man was dead.

Police say the victim, 46-year-old Akop Aduryan, was shot multiple times in the chest by more than one shooter after a verbal dispute on the 7500 block of Goodland Avenue.

Police markers show two dozen shell casings, and bullet holes mark a garage and Mercedes sitting in a driveway beside the scene.

A motive for the shooting has not been determined, but investigators are looking into whether it may be related to the shooting of another man in his 40s outside an insurance office in Glendale on Wednesday.
