WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. The move comes after several complaints from pedestrians who have become startled by or involved in collisions with bike riders.

Deputies can now issue citations of $100 for the first infraction, $200 for the second and $250 for the third violation within one year of two prior infractions.
