Search continues for hit-and-run driver

BIG BEAR, Calif. Kushan Bhandari was crossing the street at Lakeview Drive and Barlett Avenue with his mother and brother when they were struck by a vehicle Thursday night. Witnesses say the driver stopped briefly, but then sped away.

The 5-year-old was rushed to Bear Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His 11-year-old brother Kushal and his 32-year-old mother Sujana were seriously injured. They were airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Police are looking for a dark colored, older model GMC or Chevy Tahoe, with tinted windows and front end damage.
