Blend and bottle your own vino locally

ANAHEIM, Calif. Melissa Siciliani blended her first bottle of wine with the help of Steve Van Horn. He and his partner opened O.C. Custom Wine in November.

"You're going to taste wine directly from the barrel and you'll taste wine from three to four different barrels," said Van Horn.

The winery has already produced some award winning wines. The winery is located in an industrial complex in Anaheim.

It is the first winery in the city in more than 120 years. Back then 50 families settled in Anaheim to grow grapes. In the late 1880s disease wiped out all of the vineyards. Farmers then moved on to other crops like oranges.

The business partners decided on Anaheim because they live in Orange County. They were tired of driving to San Luis Obispo where they started making wine 5 years ago.

The grapes used to make their wine comes from Napa and Sonoma counties. After a wine tasting people can blend their favorites and bottle it themselves -- right down to putting in the cork. They then can finish it off with a personal label.

"It is a great idea for a wedding or a real good party," said Eva Siciliani, customer.

A bottle of wine can start at $25 and there is no minimum order. You can come in for one bottle or leave a lot more.

The owners say they want to take away any intimidation and share their love of wine making with others.
