5th man sought in taco truck robberies

EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department asked for the public's help Friday in tracking down the man who is wanted for at least 22 armed robberies of /*taco truck*/ vendors since April.

Investigators are looking for 21-year-old Nery Perez, who is described as Hispanic with green eyes and shaved black hair, 5 feet 8, 160 pounds. He has a tattoo of a bat on the right side of his neck.

Four suspects have already been arrested. The men are members of a tagging crew called "Fearless Kings." The group has been upgraded to gang status because of their alleged crimes.

Detectives believe there may be more unreported robberies.

Many of the robberies took place along Whittier Boulevard, Olympic Boulevard and Cesar Chavez Avenue, all busy streets on the city's eastside.

Meantime, deputies are reporting two more taco truck robberies Friday. They are not related to the other robberies. Deputies are looking for at least two suspects.
