The two men were wearing safety harnesses.
Fire department rescuers quickly pulled one of the men up to the roof. The second window washer was stuck for another 45 minutes, until a firefighter could rappel down to him.
There were street closures during the rescue.
Both window washers came through the ordeal with no injuries.
