4th victim in Hollywood stabbing spree

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. Fifty-three-year-old Domingo Rodas was arrested in connection to two stabbings Thursday afternoon. Detectives were also investigating whether Rodas was connected to a third stabbing in the area.

The victims were also homeless men. Two have died. The third is in critical condition.

Police are looking for a motive and possible link between Rodas and the rest of the victims.

The first stabbing took place at the corner of Western and Sunset, adjacent to the Orchard Supply Hardware at about 1:40 p.m. Thursday. A 51-year-old man was killed in the incident. The second stabbing happened at the Music Box in the 6100 block of Hollywood Boulevard at around 2:30 p.m. A 43-year-old man was killed near the theater. The third stabbing happened at 4:40 p.m. at the corner of Argyle and Yucca St. The 59-year-old man in that case is in critical condition.

The three stabbing incidents occurred hours after Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Police Chief Bill Bratton held a news conference to tout how the crime rate in Hollywood had declined.
