Tree falls, crashes into parked car

PARAMOUNT, Calif. The tree fell just before 9 p.m. in the 15900 block of Vermont Avenue near Alondra Boulevard, causing significant damage to a Honda Civic.

The owner of the Civic, Chanell Patterson, said she had returned home about 45 minutes earlier.

The tree blew out the driver's side window, caved in the roof and jammed a door.

No one was injured.

It took crews quite some time to remove the tree.
