Smoke, ash affecting L.A. air quality

LOS ANGELES Saturday, the National Weather Service made the unusual forecast of "scattered smoke" for the Santa Monica Mountains, San Fernando Valley, and other areas of northern L.A. County.

Experts say the weather pattern will continue to bring the dirty air this way for days.

In fact, for the third day in a row, a fine layer of ash was found on cars in Malibu and western L.A. County.
