Spike in phony bills at garage sales

LONG BEACH, Calif. Most of the problems have been with $100 bills.

Detectives say counterfeiters like to target garage sales because most people in the general public aren't trained to recognize security features on money.

They say if you see anyone trying to use counterfeit money, call the police right away.
