UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley, and UCLA all scored high, ranking seventh, eighth, and ninth on the conservation group's list of eco-friendly schools.
What does that mean exactly?
The Sierra Club looked at whether schools recycle waste, provide public transportation, and save energy.
A couple of local schools did very badly. The Sierra Club gave Azusa Pacific University and the University of La Verne a failing grade for eco-friendliness and ranked them near the bottom.
