Cool centers will remain open for the public, especially those vulnerable to the heat, such as the elderly and families with young children. The Cool Centers will provide snacks and water, in addition to activities and resource information.
Officials warn people to pay attention to symptoms of heat distress, such as headache, dizziness, weakness or muscle pains, nausea and vomiting. If you suffer from any of these, remain in a cool place and drink water to prevent dehydration.
