Crowds cheer Oprah for live NYC show

NEW YORK CITY Fans with megaphones, signs and spirit began lining up at 7:30 a.m.

Oprah joked with New York's billionaire Mayor Bloomberg to begin the show.

"Is it true you take the subway to work," she asked him.

"Well I make a dollar a year, so money's important," he responded, as the two moguls shared a laugh.

Actors Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig broke from Broadway to surprise Oprah, and Mariah Carey sang for the massive crowd.

Regis and Kelly joined Oprah to rave about the city.

"The New York City crowds and the audiences and the backdrop is the greatest love affair you can have," Kelly Ripa said.

But the biggest love affair is between Oprah and her fans.

"Oprah is magnificent! I passed out to get these tickets, you don't understand. The best show in the world, Oprah I love you more than life," one woman in the crowd screamed.

Fans said they are ready for Oprah to come back.

"I think she should just move here and do it, and leave cold Chicago behind," one fan said.
