Less sleep may be linked to Alzheimer's

LOS ANGELES The study in mice suggests lack of sleep may play a role in the development of Alzheimer's.

The findings are among the first to link sleep with the disease.

Doctors say the findings also reinforce the need to treat sleep disorders, because of the long term impact they may have on the brain.

The study is published in the journal, "Science."
