Water flowed down the hilly street and ran into at least one home. Crews stayed on scene to help the people living in the house clean up the damage.
"We've got damage in one home which we're cleaning up at this point," said L.A. County Fire Battalion Chief Wade White. "Minimal water on the floor and we're also removing some mud from the outer sill area of the home."
Officials have not said how large the broken main is or how long it will take to repair.
