Swayze memorial raises money for research

Family, friends, celebrities and studio officials gathered for a memorial for Patrick Swayze on Sunday night at Sony Studios in Culver City.Security was tight as staff checked arrivals on a list of expected guests.

The organizers are raising money for the Patrick Swayze Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and the Stand Up to Cancer organization.

Swayze, best known for his roles in the movies "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost," died last month after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.
