A Los Angeles County lifeguard boat was sent to try and help, but the high wind and heavy surf was too much, and the lifeguard boat also ended up on the sand.
Fortunately, no one was hurt on either vessel.
The winds during that emergency were clocked at 24 mph, gusting much higher.
