Laguna tries to find homeless solution

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. The city has not been able to prevent the homeless from sleeping in public parks and beaches.

That's because of an ACLU lawsuit that argued there was no other place for them to go.

The plan would include a temporary shelter in a parking lot on Laguna Canyon Road to hold at least 50 people.

City officials are seeking private funds for a more permanent solution.
