Study shows 'vaccine' against cocaine

LOS ANGELES How can cocaine abusers fight their addiction? New research shows vaccine-like shots may help a great deal.

A study appearing in Archives of Psychiatry says tests so far indicate shots not only fight addiction, they also keep cocaine addicts from getting high.

An official with the National Institute of Drug Abuse says the study clearly shows it's possible for a vaccine to interfere with the drug's affect on the brain.
