Metrolink fares may hike to aid deficit

Metrolink fares may hike up to help deal with a possible deficit of $6 million.Metrolink is looking to cut costs and increase revenues. Fares would rise between three and six percent.

Monthly passes would cost riders an extra $9 to $20, and there would be no more discounts for pass holders during the December holiday season.

A final decision is expected on Nov. 13 when a public hearing will be held.
