Aircraft factory turns into movie studio

LONG BEACH, Calif. The Press Telegram reports that a $375 million deal will be signed Monday paving the way for the redevelopment of the manufacturing site where Mcdonnell Douglas workers built the DC-8 Airliner.

The chairman of Long Beach Studios says the site will be the hub of a chain of movie theaters and will include 40 soundstages.

City officials expect the studio to bring in as many as 3,000 jobs.
