Family history may show skin cancer risk

Two new studies, one conducted at UCLA, suggest having parents or siblings who've been diagnosed with skin cancer increases your risk of developing melanoma.

The researchers say this means that some increased melanoma risk can be attributed to genes.

The UCLA research team says a person's family history could become very helpful in assessing skin cancer risk.
