Australian researchers limit TV for kids

LOS ANGELES They call for children younger than two years old to be banned from watching television or being exposed to any other electronic media.

For children two to five years old, the recommendation is only up to an hour of television a day.

Experts with Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital say watching TV stunts language development and shortens attention span. It also keeps children from being active and having social interaction with others.
