Mother, daughter escape Amtrak crash

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. The Amtrak train crashed around 9 p.m. Friday near Norwalk Boulevard and Los Nietos Road.

Police say the woman made an incorrect left hand turn and ended up on the tracks.

When she saw the train coming, she and her daughter got out of the car.

There were 60 people on the train at the time of impact.

One passenger was treated for a panic attack.

An investigation into the crash is now underway.
