Study: Stress and fertility are linked

October 19, 2009 12:00:00 AM PDT
Stress is known to affect fertility in both men and women. New research from Harvard finds that stress management programs may undo some of the negative effects and actually boost fertility in women.Researchers followed women who were undergoing in vitro fertilization.

Some in the group went to a 10-session stress management program that emphasized relaxing the mind and body.

Experts say the women who attended the program had a significantly higher pregnancy rate than those who did not.
