Cause of Monrovia homicide revealed

MONROVIA, Calif. According to the Pasadena Star News, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office ruled the death of 31-year-old /*Felicia Lee*/ a homicide, caused by asphyxiation.

A spokesman for the Coroner's Office told the newspaper Lee was smothered and there was blunt force trauma to her body, but did not specify where.

Officials said she also had several drugs in her system including GHB and cocaine.

Lee died last month in the apartment she shared with 45-year-old /*Brian Randone.*/ Authorities say she had been tortured and beaten.

Thursday, a preliminary hearing date of Monday, October 26 was set for Randone in Pasadena Superior Court. He has already pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Randone appeared on the 2000 Fox reality show "The Sexiest Bachelor in America."
